Terms of Service

These terms apply when you engage Sitewright Studio ("we", "us") to design, build, host, or maintain a website. By submitting a brief or paying our setup fee, you agree to them.

The work

The scope of each engagement is defined by the tier you choose (Starter, Grow, VIP, or Own It) plus anything we agree in writing. We'll send you a written quote describing what we'll deliver and a timeline. Work begins once you've paid the setup fee.

Revisions and feedback

Each tier includes a fixed number of revision rounds. A round is one batch of consolidated written feedback. Verbal back-and-forth in calls or chat doesn't count as a round, but please keep things in writing where possible so nothing gets lost.

If your project genuinely needs more rounds than your tier includes, we'll quote the extra work upfront. We won't silently bill you.

Payment

Setup fees are paid upfront, in full, in GBP. Recurring monthly fees are billed in advance on the first of the month. Invoices that go more than 14 days overdue may pause work or hosting until they're settled.

Cancellation

You can cancel a recurring monthly plan at any time with 14 days' notice. We'll stop billing you and stop hosting your site at the end of the current period. Setup fees are non-refundable once design work has begun.

If you're on Starter / Grow / VIP and want to take the code with you, switch to the Own It tier (one-off fee) and we'll hand over the repo.

Ownership

On Starter, Grow and VIP, we retain ownership of the underlying code while you're on the recurring plan. You own all content you provide (text, images, brand assets) and you own your domain.

On the Own It tier, full ownership of the codebase is transferred to you on delivery and final payment.

What we promise

We'll do the work to a professional standard, on the agreed timeline, and keep you in the loop. We'll fix bugs that come from our build at no extra cost during your first 30 days post-launch.

We don't guarantee specific business outcomes (traffic, conversions, sales) — that depends on factors outside our control.

Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from our work is capped at the fees you've paid us in the previous 12 months. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, etc.).

Nothing in these terms excludes liability we can't lawfully exclude.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify existing clients by email of anything material. The version that applies to your project is whatever was in force when we accepted your brief.
